Ask the Experts Dept: Join Comics and Friends Chief John Haines and Brett Carreras of Brett's Comics Pile and VA Comicon at the Mid-Ohio Comic Con discussing what's hot and what's not in the investment-grade collectibles market. This session focuses primarily on high-grade comics from the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Ages and is informative for pros and novices alike. Sorry, we can't embed the Youtube video, but you can see it in all it's glory here.

Wow Comics from 1936 was one of the earliest such magazines featuring original content. The four -issue run was published by shirt manufacturer John Henle and edited by Sam Iger. The first issue featured the initial comic book work of the great Will Eisner, creator of the Spirit, Sheena and many other characters. All four issues are scarce to rare, and Wow Comics No. 2, August 1936, may be the rarest comic book in existance, with less than five copies known to exist.
John Haines Rare Comics was fortunate recently to acquire a previously unknown copy, and premiered it at
the Baltimore Comic Con. Below is a
picture
of Old Man Haines holding the magazine.
